颱風要來了

颱風要來了！颱風真是個讓人又愛又恨的東西，來了會造成許多損失，但是現在正在缺水，如果來個颱風，或許可以解除旱災。
星期五高一英文菁英班的同學請注意！如果宣布停止上課，8/7停課一次，8/11(二)晚上補課。如果沒有宣布停止上課，大家還是要準時到班，路上要多小心喔！

The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) (中央氣象局) issued last night a warning on the sea against (針對颱風發布海上警報) Typhoon Morakot, that has recently developed into a medium-scale typhoon (中度颱風), and is continuing to move towards northeastern Taiwan.
CWB officials said the bureau will consider issuing a land warning before noon today if the typhoon maintains its current course toward eastern and northern Taiwan.
(如果颱風保持目前的行徑，朝向東台灣和北臺灣，氣象局考慮在今天中午之前發布陸上警報。)
Residents in Taiwan should start taking anti-typhoon measures (採取防颱措施) to guard against strong wind and heavy rains, they said.
Districts in northern and northeastern Taiwan will experience sporadic showers this morning and there will be high waves off the eastern coast.
But the rains will intensify (雨勢會增強) in the afternoon and evening that could trigger flash floods and mudslides at mountain regions (山區土石流) in most areas of the island because the typhoon has a radius (半徑) of 250 km, according to the CWB.
